The Stars

We’re pleased to introduce you to the brave and talented souls who stepped up as our dancing “stars.”  These people have donated many hours of time and energy, endured sore feet, pulled muscles and bruised egos — all to raise funds for Sparrow Clubs. We tip our top hat to you, Central Oregon Stars!

Ally Galloway - "The Fitness Specialist"

Ally Galloway is originally from Wyoming, but has lived in Bend for 16 years so she considers herself a local. After spending most of her life participating in various sports, she decided to take her passion for health and fitness and earned a degree in Exercise Science and Sports Nutrition.

After she finished college, Ally received her certification from the American College of Sports Medicine, as well as a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. After almost 8 years of personal training, nutrition coaching and teaching at COCC she opened her own gym: BodyRock Training and Fitness. She specializes in personal training, small group training, and nutrition coaching. Although she isn't professionally trained, she loves to dance around during her classes and most of her clients would agree that her moves could use some work.

Outside of work Ally loves to compete in obstacle races, running events, and GORUCK endurance challenges. She also loves to do anything that will get her outside and active with her two dogs, Kona and Rylie, and her husband Seanmichael.

Ally is so grateful and excited to part of the Swinging with the Stars event.

Ally and her dance professional, Moshe, are training hard and will wow you with their dance! You can vote for them here: Ally and Moshe

Ellie Anderson - "The Director of Real Estate"

Ellie is honored to be asked to participate in Swinging with the Stars and to be able to help families in the community that need it. It is so vital and important to teach love and acceptance to our children and to keep learning it ourselves. The Sparrow Club teaches local children to give back, pitch in and help, to be kind, loving and accepting to those that may not be afforded what they are in life.

Ellie was born in Eugene, OR. She moved to Boise at a young age, and then to Sunriver in 1995. A graduate of Bend Senior High School, Ellie LOVES Bend! She loves living, working and playing here, as well as helping the community in any way possible. Ellie graduated college from the University of Montana in Missoula with a BS in Business Administration with emphasis in International, Management and Marketing. GO GRIZ!

A local Residential and Commercial Realtor since 2005, Ellie has consistently been a top producer for both Steve Scott Realtors, and RE/MAX Key Properties. She has a passion for helping others, helping the community and always helping her clients build their financial security with homes and investments. She loves being a Real Estate Broker and is always driven to work hard for her clients.

Ellie married Caleb Anderson in 2007. After spending 20+ years in the Golf Business as a Golf Professional, Caleb is now a Realtor as well. They can be found online at BendPropertyPros.com.

Caleb and Ellie have 2 children; Anna (6) and John (4). Anna and Johnny keep life full of fun, laughter and adventure. Both kids love to mountain bike, ski, and swim with their parents. Both kids are full of life and fun, and had a hand in choosing the song for Ellie and Joe’s dance tonight.

ShanRae Hawkins - "The Communication Queen"

ShanRae grew up on a farm in the shadows of the Wallowa Mountains in Joseph, Oregon. Along with her three siblings, ShanRae was raised in what today would be considered “free range” – playing in the mud, learning to drive a feed truck in elementary school and jumping electric fences. Her love for agriculture, the western lifestyle and Oregon runs deep.

With more than 17 years of experience in marketing communications, public relations, branding, crisis communications and reputation management, ShanRae leads StingRay Communications, a marketing and public relations firm. Prior to establishing StingRay Communications ShanRae served as Director of Marketing for two of Central Oregon’s signature developments: the Old Mill District/Les Schwab Amphitheater and Sunriver Resort. Before moving to Central Oregon sixteen years ago, ShanRae traveled the world working for the Foreign Agriculture Service, New Holland Credit Company and the National FFA Organization.

ShanRae is passionate about giving back to the community and is involved with several nonprofit organizations, including, The Bloom Project, Oregon FFA Foundation, First Story and Can Cancer. She loves riding horses, hiking, camping and exploring every inch of Oregon with her husband and two young sons Grayson (9) and Brogan (4).

ShanRae and her dance professional, Jordan, are ready to bring home the Mirror Ball, but they need your help to do it! You can vote for them here: ShanRae and Jordan

Tressa Shuttleworth - "The Marvel of Mercedes"

Tressa was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. While she grew up around the car business her entire life, she never envisioned herself wanting a career in the car industry until coming to work for Kendall Auto Group.

In 2011, Tressa began working part-time at Kendall as a janitor while she was attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks and studying Art. After college Tressa went on to become one of the Kendall’s Community Outreach Ambassadors. Kendall’s community outreach programs gave her the opportunity to travel, including to Bend, where she continuously works with many nonprofit organizations including Sparrow Clubs.

One trip to Bend and she knew this is where she wanted to call home! Taking a position as a Sales Consultant at Kendall Mercedes-Benz of Bend, she can now officially say     “I am a Bend-ite”. Some of the things Tressa loves most about living in Bend are how open and friendly the people are, the sense of community and support for local business, gorgeous outdoors, great beer, getting to live next to her brother Jack (tonight's host) as well as his loving family, and the opportunity to participate in great causes like this one.

Tressa and her dance professional, Andres, want to impress and deliver an unforgettable performance for Sparrow Clubs! You can vote for them here: Tressa and Andres

Upon the sale of the company, he returned to the University of Washington to earn his dental degree, where he served as Class President all four years as well as Student Council president. His leadership and business experience is what made him want to start a dental practice that revolutionized patients' expectations of the dental experience. From the design of the office to the unique dental membership model, Eric's vision is to help patients take control of their dental health, redefine expectations, and make dental care more accessible and affordable - even for those without insurance!

PureCare Dental was awarded the 2012 COBA New Business of the Year, the 2013 Bend Chamber SAGE Award for New and Emerging Business of the Year, and was featured as the cover story in a national dental magazine for his innovative approach to dentistry.  Eric was also recognized by the Bend Chamber for the 2014 “Accomplished Under 40” award.

Eric and his family are involved with local organizations and non-profits including COBA, Bend Chamber, Volunteers in Medicine, Healthy Beginnings, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Life Impact Ministries, Young Life, and the Boys and Girls Club of Central Oregon.  He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry, the Oregon Dental Association, and the Central Oregon Dental Society.

Outside of the office, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and their dog.  His hobbies include water skiing, snow skiing, and restoring classic Mustangs.

Eric has supported Sparrow Clubs through Compass Church, and he is very excited to participate in this fun event.

Eric and his dance partner, Deborah, are planning on having the performance of a lifetime and want to take home the Mirror Ball, but they need your help! You can vote for them here: Eric and Deborah

Keith Clayton - "The Phenom of Froyo"

Keith Clayton grew up in Redmond, Oregon and married his high school sweetheart, Melissa, in 2003.  Keith and Melissa are both Oregon State University graduates.  From 2005-2011, Keith loved his Math teaching career, but the pull of the entrepreneurial lifestyle eventually turned in to co-ownership and operations of Cuppa Yo Frozen Yogurt.

Keith and Melissa also lead Project Ambition, a health and wellness business focused on individual personal growth.

Being from Redmond, where Sparrow Clubs were originally launched during Keith's childhood, having the chance to be a part of contributing to this great cause is very exciting to him.

Keith and Tammy are hoping to have the time of their life in this performance, but they need your help! You can vote for them here: Keith and Tammy

Michael Sipe - "The Business Guy"

Mike is an executive business coach and mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately held companies. He is the founder and president of CrossPointe Private Equity Advisors, which provides exit planning, transactional consultation and brokerage services for buyers and sellers of small to medium sized businesses. He is the Chairman of C12 Cascades, and in that capacity, facilitates multiple peer-advisory boards of local Christian business owners. He also leads a rapidly growing organization providing affordable financial coaching and wealth planning for individuals and small business owners.

He’s on the Bend Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is the President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Greater Bend. He’s the Rotary Club Duck Race Captain and leads the river team conducting the Great Drake Park Duck Race, which has raised over a million dollars for local non-profits. He was the Chairman of the High Desert Men’s Summit and produces the annual Central Oregon Community Leaders Prayer Breakfast and the annual Community Prayer BBQ.

When not involved in business, church and charitable activities, you’ll find Mike outdoors somewhere hiking, biking, boating, camping, and fishing. You’ll see that he dances like he golfs. In other words, golf pros and dance instructors often say things like, “I don’t recall ever seeing a swing quite like that.” And that’s usually not a compliment.

So, you’re in for a treat (or at least some comedic relief) as Mike and his professional dance partner, Gabriela, (who very much knows what she’s doing) deliver a “once in a lifetime” Bachata performance. You can vote for them here:  Mike and Gabriela

Tim Williams - "The Lead Litigator"

Tim is a partner at Dwyer Williams Dretke Attorneys, P.C., which has six offices statewide, with its primary office in Bend.  He represents folks who were severely injured or killed through the fault of others, or are victims of crimes and sex abuse.

Tim graduated undergraduate school from Southern Oregon University in 1999, and law school from the University of Oregon in 2003.  He serves on the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association Board of Governors, on the American Association for Justice Board of Governors, and also served on the Oregon State Bar Board of Governors (he was vice president of the Bar last year).

Outside of the office, Tim is the proud husband of Pam, as well as the proud father of Emerson (10) and Elliott (6), both of whom attend Miller Elementary.  Tim is very involved with his daughters’ activities, and happily spends much of his free time on family outings and trips.

When not with his family, Tim loves to play basketball – in fact, he was a collegiate football and basketball player.  He also coaches the Summit COBO 5th grade girls’ basketball team.  Additionally, he likes to spend his time outdoors, on his mountain bike, in the gym, or on the golf course.

Interestingly, even though he has a background in sports, Tim hasn’t danced a day in his life!  However, his grandfather taught him at an early age, “Most of the time, doing the hard thing, and doing the right thing, means doing the same thing.”  Tim feels strongly that learning to dance for the Sparrow Club, while hard on a personal level, is most definitely the right thing to do!

Tim and his professional dance partner, Valerie, are going to represent on the dance floor, but it's up to you if they take home the Mirror Ball!  Vote here: Tim and Valerie
